Mark and Gov. Pataki at Quality Cash Market
Mark: Governor Pataki
Pataki: "What would you like?"
Mark: asked about money in politics
Pataki: "What we have to do and it is not just a specific issue like that. The big powerful organizations, can play the game in Washington, hire lobbyists, hire the lawyers and get their way too often. We have to get rid of this. We have to throw out all the special exceptions, the loopholes, the breaks. Whether it is welfare or corporate welfare it’s got to go. Lower the rates and simplify them so small business like this one can have a chance to grow."
Mark: "How do we stop them from coming back in?"
Pataki: "I think that is why we have a democracy. A ban -- no legistors are allowed to lobby...
Mark: "Do you believe that corporations are people?"
Pataki: "Corporations are coporations. They have their legal rights but no one has the right to get a special break because they have power in Washington."
