Jeb Bush on Citizens United decision: "I don't really understand it to be honest with you."

Miranda Myers on May 29, 2015
Gale asked Jeb Bush, "Please tell me your opinion on the Citizens United decision?" The former Florida governor said, "I don't understand it, to be honest with you." He went on to offer a few words on money, transparency, and the prospects for change.

Gale attended the Conversation with the Candidates event on May 29th to ask her question, "Please tell me your opinion on the Citizens United decision?" to which Jeb Bush responded, "I don't understand it, to be honest with you."

Gov. Bush went on to say, "In a perfect world, which we don't have because the Supreme Court ruled in the way it did, I would say you'd have very few restrictions for candidates and total transparency." Bush also said, "I think accountability is really what matters, if someone wants to give you a lot of money, fine, but you ought to be held to account for whoever's giving you that dough."

Bush ended on a less than hopeful note saying, "How we get from where we are to that, I just don't think it's going to be happening any time soon."
