Corporate Cronyism Not a Partisan Issue Says Cruz

Elias Tyrrel-Walker on February 04, 2016
I asked Ted Cruz what specific steps he would take to prevent corporate cronyism under his administration. While he applauded my question, he did not provide any particular strategies to reduce corruption.

Senator Ted Cruz' Town Hall at the Generals Sports Bar and Grill was packed.  People were standing shoulder to shoulder, and any movment was made impossible. I asked Ted Cruz what specific steps he would take to prevent corporate cronyism under his administration.

While he applauded my question, he did not provide any particular strategies to reduce corruption. The Senator made it clear that he agreed that there is corruption within our system, and he mentioned that no one party is to blame.

Senator Cruz also said that the next president needs to be prepared to stand up to their own party as well as the opposing party.  He believes the issue of cronyism is not partisan. He also took the opportunity to explain why he thought the government needed to be smaller, ending his answer with his plan to abolish the IRS and establish a flat tax.
